JULY 2021 UPDATE

GREAT NEWS!

The summer session (6 weeks) will start the week of July 26th!

  • Health screening and sign off required upon entry to the building
  • Face coverings required for all facility users, except when a helmet is put on to use the ice.
  • Participants are required to come dressed for play as capacity will be reduced in each dressing room to maintain physical distancing. Two to three dressing rooms will be allocated for each session.  Showers will not be available.  Player benches may also be used to tie up and remove skates to assist with maintaining physical distancing.
  • We will have access to the dressing rooms 15 minutes prior to ice time and have 15 minutes to exit the facility at the end of a booking. A half hour has been scheduled between bookings to avoid crossover of patrons and manage physical distancing.
  • Spectator use will be limited as the capacity is restricted to 50 persons per rink.

FEBRUARY 2021 UPDATE

GREAT NEWS!  KINGSTON IS BACK TO GREEN!

The Winter session (8 weeks)  will start the week of February 15th!

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we get through this pandemic!

JANUARY 2021 UPDATE

I hope that you and your loved ones had a wonderful holiday and that you are safe and healthy.

I am writing to update you on the upcoming 2021 January Winter Power Skating. As stated by the Ontario Government, the province wide shutdown went into effect on December 26th, 2020, and will remain in effect until January 23rd, 2021.

As a result, our January 4th, 2021 start date will be temporarily postponed until the week of January 24th, 2021, and will run for 8 consecutive weeks thereafter.

I thank everyone for their patience and continued support. I hope to see you all soon.

Sincerely,

Lynn Grivich

SEPTEMBER 2020 UPDATE

Great news!  The fall session has been confirmed to start in October.

On August 14th, the province released the Guidance for facilities for sports and recreational fitness activities during COVID-19 as part of the province’s Stage 3 Re-Opening Framework.  Please note the following re-opening guidelines and information, which include, but are not limited to;

I  am looking forward to seeing everyone on the ice in October!

Sincerely,

Lynn Grivich

AUGUST 2020 UPDATE:

I hope you are keeping well and you are in good spirits despite these unprecedented times.

I want to update everyone on some news I received from the City of Kingston in regard to the transition and opening of Arenas. The facilities are forecast to open mid-September 2020.

Unfortunately, our planned summer session (from August 31st to September 4th) will further be postponed until the Fall.

As stated in the March communication below, if you wish for your credit to rollover and you would like to remain on the priority list for the Fall session, you may do so with no action required on your behalf.

It is important to note that class size may be limited when following the Covid-19  protocols  set out by the Health Unit, thus maintaining a priority list.

As such, your credit will be applied for the registration for the presumptive first week of October start date with no additional cost.

I want to thank everyone for their continued support. I have sincerely missed seeing all of your little ones, and not so little ones, out on the ice!

I am looking forward to being back when deemed safe to do so and picking right up from where we left off.

I hope to see you all soon.

Sincerely,

Lynn Grivich

March – 2020 Update:

Hello Everyone,

This has been a time of unprecedented change and uncertainty, and I hope that you and your loved ones are safe, healthy, and doing well.

With the direction given by the City of Kingston to close all Recreation Facilities indefinitely, my Spring Power Skating session scheduled to begin on April 7th has been cancelled.

If you were already scheduled for  my April session, and would like to transfer your registration to my Summer session in August, please let me know.  Transfers can also go to the Fall or Winter session at the same fee as the Spring session.  This also applies to the Summer session.  Alternatively, if you would like to request a refund for your payment for this Spring session, please let me know.

Thank you for your continued support and patience.  I hope to see you at the rink in the near future.

Sincerely,

Lynn Grivich
